I made the image of the handprints at a temple in Chengdu (China), and the image of the wind-blown prayer and dappled light at a beautiful monastery in Kangding (Eastern Tibet). In Tibet, it’s believed that the wisdom and compassion contained in a prayer is dispersed on the wind, benefiting all beings. To me, this image pairing is about how tenuous and gorgeous life is. We’re here for such a short time - and this print reminds me to stop, breathe, and center myself, so I can feel more connected to my experience.
